Want to know my process?
I am self taught through trial and error and Success!
I started painting on canvas many years ago and was discouraged by people's lack of wall space. I didn't give up I began painting on everything that I could which even brought me to clothing, after a nudge from a friend.

First I gather multiple images that represent the the subject (animal) I wish to paint. With that I draw the outline and any dark shadows I want printed in black on a clear plastic sheet.
Day 2 & 3

I prepare my silk screen. I clean the screen...let it dry. Apply the emulsion in my "Dark room"...let it dry. Burn the image in my "Dark Room". Rince it out....let it dry.

I set up my screen on the press my husband built for me. Mix the ink to the right consistency for the screen size. Print some tests for consistency and unwanted spots. And finally Center and print on the requested size and style shirt.

I let the ink dry.
I set the ink on the shirt with heat to make it permanent. Then I apply clothing dye and let it dry. The dryer is not best for the inks.

I hand paint concentrated dye in the most colorful bright way I can imagine. Let it dry at least overnight. Then I wash and process the dye. Let that dry.

Time to finalize and bring it to life. I paint Fabric ink to bring in more lowlights and highlights. Let the ink dry. Heat set ink and finally throw it in the wash on Gentle cold wash.
And on to the next one.
Although I often do multiple shirts at once.
